Cementitious Based Waterproofing Coating
DESCRIPTION
Two-component acrylic polymer modified cementitious coating, which consists of specially selected cements, well-graded fine aggregates and additives supplied in powder form together with a liquid component of acrylic polymer, pre-dosed, ready for use as waterproofing slurry.
USES
For external and internal waterproofing coating, crack sealing on concrete, mortar, brickwork, in basements, swimming pools, water tanks, flat roofs, balconies, terraces, retaining walls, sea walls, tunnels, etc.
ADVANTAGES
- Deltaproof CB is pre-dosed sets, easy to mix, easy to use,
- Can be applied by brush or by trowel,
- Impermeable,
- Good resistance to abrasion and erosion,
- Non corrosive,
- Non flammable,
- Non toxic and slightly flexible.
COVERAGE
Depending on type of application, 2 coats are always required.
Waterproofing for toilet or bathroom : 1.5 kg/m2 at 0.9mm of thickness.
Waterproofing for swimming pool or reservoir : 3 kg/m2 at 1.8mm of thickness.
INTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The concrete surface should be sound, clean, free of oil, grease, dust or laitance and saturated surface dry. Then pour half of component A (liquid) into mixing vessel, then add all of component B (powder) and mix until you have slurry of uniform consistency.
Add rest of component A and mix again until you have uniform, lump-free mixture.
For mixing, a mechanical slow speed mixer is recommended with mixing time of 2-3 minutes, if Deltaproof CB is to be applied by trowel, use only 90% of liquid component.
APPLICATION
Always apply a minimum of two coats, the first coat on the still damp, pre-wetted substrate. The second coat is to be applied after the first coat has started to set and can support the following coat, usually after 2-6 hours, depending on climate.
CURING
As with all cement based products, curing is important.
Protect the freshly applied product against direct sunlight and strong winds. Use damp hessian or plastic sheet. Protect the applied Deltaproof CB from rain and water splashes until fully hardened, usually after six hours.
PROTECTION
For roofing or other structures directly exposed to ultra violet light, it is suggested that Deltaproof CB is protected with 2-3 cm of cement screed.
