General Purpose Ceramic Tile Adhesive
DESCRIPTION
Single component high quality adhesive for permanent fixing of ceramic tile, pre-packed tilling adhesive mortar combining with cement and selected grades of sand and several admixtures, which only requires the addition of water.
USES
Deltafix GP is used for fixing ceramic tiles in horizontal and vertical surface, for outdoor or indoor applications, in dry or wet or submerged conditions.
ADVANTAGES
- A factory mixed with consistent quality and easy to use, just adding water,
- Giving better workability that will save 25 - 50% of tile application time, tiles can be adjusted up to 30 minutes after application.
- Good for wet areas like kitchens and bathrooms;
- Good open wet time,
- Water resistant,
- Good slip resistance and high adhesive bond strength.
CONSUMPTION
6 – 7 m2 per 25 kg bag (based on 2 mm mortar thickness).
INSTRUCTION FOR USE
Concrete surface must be clean, sound, level and uncontaminated by oil or grease. Remove cement laitance, formwork traces and loosely adhering particles by sand blasting or high pressure water jetting. Absorbent substrates must be pre-wetted to saturated surface dry (SSD) conditions. Special attention must be given to new construction prior to commencing tiling. Tiles should not be placed on concrete or block work until all shrinkage movement has taken place. Mix a bag (25 kg) of Deltafix GP with 6.25 litre of water, with a hand trowel. For a large volume mixing, a slow speed drill is recommended. Mix powder to water until a uniform, lump-free consistency is achieved. Deltafix GP should be spread on the substrate to a uniform thickness of 2-3 mm, and then combed horizontally. Place tiles firmly into adhesive bed, and ensuring good contact with a twisting motion. Only apply to areas, which can be tiled in the adhesive open wet time, which is up to 1m2 at a time.
STORAGE CONDITION
Store in dry conditions in the original, unopened bags or packs, if stored at high temperature and or high humidity conditions the shelf life may be reduced.
LIMITATIONS
Deltafix GP should not be used when the temperature is below 5 °C and falling. The product should not be exposed to running water during application.
