Polymer Bonding Agent

DESCRIPTION

Deltabond SB1 is modified acrylic as bonding agent for concrete and mortar. This milky white, water based emulsion of medium viscosity, which dries to a transparent DELTABOND SB1 is a water based synthetic polymer dispersion, which is designed as bonding agent. White emulsion substance is ready to use, ideal for internal and external applications conjuction with cement.

USES

DELTABOND SB1 Is a recommended for bonding freshly placed concrete and mortar including bonding of repair mortar and concrete, construction joint. DELTABOND SB1 may also improve cement mortar properties such as tensile, flextural, reduced, shrinkage, water resistance, chemical resistance properties.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Surface Preparation

Make sure the surface to be coated is dry, clean, free from dirt, rust, grease, oil, mold or any other loose material. Absorbent porous substrates must be wetted to saturation.

Application Method

Deltabond SB1 as bonding agent

All the old concrete surfaces should be saturated with water. Apply bonding coat by mixing cement with solution of 1 part of Deltabond SB1 and 1 part of water, into a slurry consistency, and then lay the new concrete while the bonding is still tacky.

Deltabond SB1 as bonding slurry

All the old concrete surfaces should be saturated with water. Apply bonding coat by mixing cement with 1:1.5 by weight until a homogenous paste is obtained. Apply the paste to the old concrete by brush and then pour the new concrete mixture while it is still wet.

Deltabond SB1 as plaster mortar, plaster and concrete finish coat, thin bed/ Aerated Light Concrete (ALC) block adhesive.

Mix Deltabond SB1 with water = 1:20 by weight. Then add cement and sand mixture (for plaster mortar & thin bed adhesive) or cement only (for skin coat). Mix for 2 – 4 minutes until a homogenous paste is obtained. Trowel the mixtures in 1.5 cm thick coats. The amount of water required for the cement mortar depends on the type and brand of cement, the particle size and moisture content of the sand, and the mixture consistency desired for the particular application.

CLEANING

 The equipment after application should be removed with clean water. Cured material can be removed mechanically, or alkali.

TECHNICAL DATA

STORAGE

Store in a dry and cool place. Protect against moisture. Store container in a well – ventilated place. The ‘Best use before end’ date of each batch is shown on the product label. Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.

FIRE

DELTABOND SB1 is non – flammable material.
