Carbon Fibre Fabric Strengthening System
DESCRIPTION
Deltawrap CFW is a carbon fibre fabric material for structural strengthening system. Applied with a two components primer Deltawrap primer, and finished by Deltawrap Encapsulation Resin Coating for an integrity result.
USES
Increasing the strength of reinforced concrete to anticipate the change of flexural and shear load due to : increase of loading capacity, changes of building utilization, repairing of defects, etc. It can be applied on beams, columns, walls, floor slabs, etc.
ADVANTAGES
- Very high strength
- Improve flexural and shear capacity
- Flexible to any geometry surface (square, round, curve, etc)
- Anti corrosion and easy to apply
INSTRUCTION FOR USE
Deltawrap CFW is cut able by a special scissors or knife, but can not be folded.
APPLICATION
Base Concrete Preliminary Preparation
The concrete should be well setting (28 days as a minimum age)
Prepare the substrate by sandblasting or grinding. Then cleaning it from dust, loose particles, grease, and oil. It should be dry and leveled by using epoxy putty. The adhesive tensile strength of the substrate to be reinforced must be at least 1.0 N/mm2
Mixing for Deltawrap Primer
Separately, mix each component in their container. Then add component B to component A using an electric mixer for approx. 3 minutes, until all the coloured streaks have disappeared. Then, stir again for approx 1 minute at low speed in a clean container to keep air entertainment at a minimum.
When the two components are mixed, then the pot life is starting. The lower ambient temperature, the longer pot life should be. And the higher quantity of material mixed, the shorter of pot life is.
Application of Primer Coating
Apply the mixed resin Deltawrap Primer to the prepared substrate using a trowel or brush.
Adhesion of Deltawrap CFW
Place the Deltawrap CFW onto the coating in a required direction.
Resin Impregnation
Due to an integrity result, after the Deltawrap CFW installed, finish it by coating Deltawrap Encapsulation Resin in 4 – 6 hours later.
