Solvent Based Epoxy Primer Coating
DESCRIPTION
Deltaprime TC is a two components solvent based primer of epoxy coating based on epoxy resin and hardener, used to primed concrete surface. It provides film which is tough, dustproof and resistant to a wide range of chemicals. It is commonly utilized as part of a complete flooring system in conjunction with Deltafloor products.
USES
As primer for industrial flooring like production areas, warehouse, etc.
As a bonding for epoxy floor coating that provide excellent “hide” and coverage.
ADVANTAGES
• Low viscosity formulation penetrates and seals concrete pores.
• Excellent adhesion
CONSUMPTION
Deltaprime TC consumption is 0.25 kg/m2
APPLICATION INSTRUCTION
Surface Application
New surfaces : new concrete should be cured a minimum of 28 days, substrate should have a stable, clean and chalk free surfaces.
Old surfaces : previous coatings should be removed by chipping, grinding or sandblasting and free from oil and grease.
All surface irregularities, cracks, expansion joints, and control joints should be properly addressed prior to application. Moisture content of the substrate should be less than 5%. Humadity is not more than 75% measured in accordance with BS 8203.
Application
Component A should be premixed prior to using due to possible additive separation
Mix components A and B for a minimum of 2 minutes thoroughly.
Use brush, roll or spray gun to apply Deltaprime TC
Allow first coat to dry for approximately 2 hours. Second coat must be applied at a 900 angle to the first coat.
Note :
Double priming will greatly reduce the effects of out gassing by additionally filling the pores in the concrete. Primed surfaces should be recoated within 24 hours. For longer waiting periods, wipe with xylene until surface become tacky. If surface remains hard, abrasive sanding is required.
CLEANING
Immediately after use, the application equipment should be cleaned out with solvent/thinner.
