High performance additive for concrete, that increase the water tightness of concrete by reduces water absorption. Also assists maximum compaction to the fresh concrete. Suitable for structural and precast concrete, floor topping such as screeds and granolithic toppings. Best performance on basement slab and other underground structure.

Instruction for use

Even though Deltamix WPC improve performance of the concrete, the concrete itself must have a good characteristic; good grading aggregates, with minimum cement content of 355 kg/m³. Normal dosage of Deltamix WPC is 3 litre / m³ with maximum dosage 5 litre / m³ of concrete. Trial mix before application on site is suggested to obtain the optimum dosage. Some retardation may occur in some case, but it will not affect the ultimate strength of the concrete, if the dosage still in control.

The fresh concrete must be cured properly to reduce the risk of concrete cracking.

Powder Shotcrete Accelerator Admixture

DESCRIPTION

Deltamix Sprayset powder is a high performance powder admixture which, when added to a cement/aggregate dry mix gives accelerated set upon addition of water at the spray nozzle.

USES

Deltamix Sprayset powder is used to provide a rapid set to sprayed concrete. This improves overhead spraying, permits thicker build in one pass and provides early support strength.

ADVANTAGES

APPLICATION INSTRUCTION

Dosage

Typical rate of addition is 2 to 6 kg of Deltamix Sprayset powder/100 kg of cement. The optimum rate should be found by site trials.

Application

Deltamix Sprayset powder is added direct to the blending hopper containing the mixed cement and aggregate. The accelerator only begins to work once water is added at the nozzle.

Caution

If moisture content of aggregate is above 3%, Deltamix Sprayset powder should be added and blended immediately prior to sprying.

Overdose

Deltamix Sprayset powder can be used at rates up to 6 kg/ 100 kg cement. Overdose may lead to setting before the concrete reaches the surfaces. The long term strength of an accelerated mix may not attain control strength if high dosage is used.

Cleaning

Any spillages should be washed with water.

Storage

Deltamix Sprayset powder has a shelf life of 6 months when stored in original unopened package

APPLICATION INSTRUCTION

Mixing and Dispensing

A pumpable mix design is required to produce a high workability mix without risk of bleeding of segregation of aggregates. The correct quantity of Deltamix Sprayset Liquid is added to the mixer simultaneously with the water.

DOSAGE

The optimum dosage for Deltamix Sprayset Liquid to meet specific requirements should always be determined by trials using the material and conditions that will be experienced in use. The allows the optimisation of admixture dosage and mix design and provides a complete assessment of the concrete mix. A starting point for such trials is to use a dosage within the normal typical range of 5.0 litres/100 kg of cementitious material, including PFA, GGBFS, or Microsilica.

Effect Of Overdosing

An overdose of double the intended amount of Deltamix Sprayset Liquid will result in increased setting of the mix before it reaches the surface to be sprayed. It will also result in a loss of strength.
